Discover the frightening settings of the “New Moon”, the 2009 romance fantasy-vampire movie, in the ancient city of Volterra, where the rite of cremation was almost exclusive long ago. Centuries-old stones still hide some the enigmatic past of the city. Walk among the archaeological ruins and see teh ancient palazzi of the Volturi, as well as a unique display of over 600 funerary urns in the Estruscan Guarnacci Museum. At noon, your guide will take you to Piazza dei Priori, under the shade of the Bell Tower, to hear the midday bell toll. A visit to the Museum of Torture is optional.
