This tour takes you to Villa Adriana, east of Rome along the ancient Via Tiburtina. Once the country villa for Emperor Hadrian and his court, it exists today as an immense park dotted with several Roman ruins, as well as spas and houses from the 1700’s, an artificial island, and a huge rectangular pool surrounded by an extraordinary collection of sculptures and other decorative objects. Within the area is an estate where the tradition of olive oil production continues today. The final product is a refined, aromatic oil showcasing the lightly fruit flavors of the itrala, frantoio, oivastro, and rosciola olives.
