CONTENT

Campania is a fascinating wine region just inland from the Vesuvius volcano. Here you will find the wines Falanghina, Asprino di Aversa and Lacryma Cristi. The tour strarts with the visit of Pompeii Ruins and of area of ​​the Dove Amphitheater, where are reproduced the vines of 2000 years ago thanks of a scientific study of archaeobotany. Tour will continue at Villa dei Misteri, on the outskirts of Pompeii, that is an ancient Roman mansion. Villa dei Misteri is also the name of a Pompeiian IGT wine, where grapes used are 90% Piedirosso and 10% Sciascinoso, aged for 12 months in barrels and 6 additional months in bottles. Then you will visit a Wine Farm, where you’ll have a tour of the vineyard and at the vinification and aging rooms. The wine is produced in terracotta amphorae as in Roman times. At the end of the visit you will tast some wines and you can decide to enjoy a meal under the grapes pergola, before going back to Naples.
